Summit 19

On 12 and 13 September 2019, the MICE workshop took place during the Travel to Tomorrow summit in Bruges. Together with the organisers of Supernova – Nora Weytens of Flanders DC and Marieke Sopers of Scale-Ups EU – and moderator Samme Allen, Visit Flanders supported this session with the aim of thinking about how international conferences can have a positive impact on our destination.

She made a remarkable ‘sojourn’ in Bruges, where VISITFLANDERS hosted a summit about the future of Tourism, named ‘Travel to Tomorrow, growing forward together.’ In her keynote talk, Michelle Holliday, author of the book ‘The Age of Thrivability’, gently invited the tourism sector to become aware of its influence to help create a world where all life can thrive.

Summit 2019 review

The Travel to Tomorrow summit 2019 is over. With 250 participants, at least as many meaningful encounters, lots of inspiration and plans for the future, it was a great success!
